Jacques Cartier Arrives at St. Malo

The fast craft JACQUES CARTIER of Compagnie Corsaire seen arriving at Gare Maritime de la Bourse, St-Malo on August 27, 2009 on her morning sauiling from Jersey (above) and her evening sailing (right). The vessel takes her name from the Breton explorer Jacques Cartier who first mapped the Gulf of St. Lawrence and St. Lawrence River in Canada and claimed the country for France.JACQUES CARTIER carries 203 passengers and makes the crossing to Jersey in 1 hour and 20 minutes.
