Stena Mersey - On an Easterly Track

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2013

On Sunday February 17, STENA MERSEY had passed to the east of the Isle of Man on her daytime sailing from Belfast to Birkenhead. It is more usual for the Birkenhead - Belfast ships to route via the west coast of the Isle of Man except when seeking shelter in adverse conditions. However, on February 17 conditions were perfect and STENA MERSEY passed close to the BEN MY CHREE on her afternoon Birkenhead to Douglas sailing whilst following her easterly track.
