Stena's  Rivers Together at Twelve Quays

Photographs  Peter Challis 2013

STENA LAGAN and STENA MERSEY seen together at Birkenhead Twelve Quays Terminal on June 28, 2013. It is very rare to see the two Belfast - Birkenhead ships berthed together. However, this became possible following technical problems with STENA LAGAN which are understood to have been caused by a defective batch of engine lubricant. This resulted in STENA LAGAN operating at reduced speed with much longer crossing times and missing several sailings. By Saturday June 29, STENA LAGAN was noted to be running again at her normal speed.
