Stena Europe Departs from Fishguard Harbour

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2013

STENA EUROPE [24,828grt / 1981] seen departing Fishguard Harbour on her 14:30 sailing to Rosslare on Monday August 05, 2013.

Firing up her engines created quite a lot of smoke initially adding to the damp and dismal afternoon. However, as she departed the weather began to improve.

The Fishguard eastern breakwater provides an excellent viewing point for movements at the terminal and as can be seen from the final photograph attracts a number of spectators even on a miserable day. There were around 30 people at the end of the breakwater watching departure.
