Weston Maid - The Cawsand Ferry

WESTON MAID operates a seasonal ferry service between Plymouth Barbican landing stage and Cawsand on the Rame Peninsular in Cornwall. The hull of the vessel dates back to 1961 being originally built as a lifeboat for the P&O Liner CANBERRA.

At Cawsand Beach which passengers are landed by gangplank onto the beach is an attractive ceramic lined waiting shelter, bottom photograph.
