Smit Merrion - On The Road at Neyland

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2014

An unusual sight at Brunel Quay Car Park at Neyland, Pembrokeshire on Sunday April 13, 2014 was SMIT MERRION [7grt / 2003] loaded on board a road transporter operated by boat movement specialists Boat-Shift. She is a range safety launch operated by Smit on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and is usually based at Milford Haven. She was constructed by Marine Partners of Norway and has a top speed of 35knots. Presumably she was being transferred to a new operational location or being taken away for maintenance?
