Photographs  Jenny Williamson 2008

These photographs record the dismemberment of the RIVERDANCE at Cleveleys on July 02, 2008. Jenny Williamson writes:

"We arrived on scene just as the tide was going out, and watched as a queue of different recovery vehicles and cherry pickers went out to her to start work.

We then walked out to view view her over the old wreck of the ABANA, which foundered on 22 December 1894, en route from Liverpool to Florida. Allegedly, during a storm, the Blackpool Tower (which opened as recently as 14 May 1894) was mistaken for a lighthouse."
