Philip & Sons Diesel Electric Paddle Vessel HIGHER FERRY is seen in action on the River Dart on Monday, May 31, 2004.   Built in 1960 at the company's nearby shipyard the vessel provides a link on the A379 road across the River Dart at Dartmouth. DEPV HIGHER FERRY is the last surviving  DEPV in the UK. I
