Express Calls at Douglas

Photographs © Alex Mc Cormac 2005

P&O's EXPRESS enroute from Birkenhead to Larne called at Douglas for berthing trials.  She entered the harbour around 15:25 and berthed first on the Edward Pier before moving off at just after 16:00. EXPRESS then moved almost sideways across the harbour and berthed on Victoria Pier at 16:13. She remained there until she departed over half an hour later. Express was clear of the harbour by 16:55.

And finally .........

EXPRESS will operate additional sailings for the TT festival from Larne to compensate in place of the additional sailings previously operated by Sea Containers RAPIDE which operated on the now defunct Belfast - Troon route.
