Hoy Head Moves from Dry Dock to Wet Basin

Orkney Ferries HOY HEAD transfers from Cammell Laird #4 Dry Dock to the Wet Basin - February 25, 2013.The vessel has been undergoing lengthening work to upgrade carrying capacity from 14 to 24 cars or for up to three 16.5m HGVs and 7 cars. The 2.7m project includes an upgrade of the propulsion and control systems and improve the manoeuvrability and carbon footprint of the vessel.   Some upgrade of the passenger accommodation is also being undertaken.
