MSC Magnifica Maiden Liverpool Call

Photographs © Peter Challis 2014

Making a somewhat earlier than expected arrival at Liverpool before 06:00 on May 14 was Mediterranean Shipping Company's MSC MAGNIFICA [95,128grt / 2010]. She was on an 11 night Northern European Cruise from Hamburg which departed on May 11, calling at South Queensferry, Invergordon, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Cóbh, Amsterdam and returning to Hamburg. Her earlier presumably being due to avoid the tidal difficulties which had delayed the arrival of CELEBRITY INFINITY the previous day.

During the day the BEN-MY-CHREE passed outbound from Cammell Laird heading for Douglas following completion of her refit whilst inbound was Robert Wynn& Sons TERRAMARIQUE heavy lift barge.
