Irish Ferries Arrivals on the Mersey

Photographs  Peter Challis 2013

Many Merseysiders will remember when the mainline route to Ireland was by Irish Ferries predecessors "B&I" Line operating out of the Liverpool, before the short sea route from Holyhead gained the dominance it has today. In the twenty first century we are lucky to see the Irish Ferries ships once a year when they call at Cammell Laird for the annual refit.  Here we see three members of the fleet in bound for refit during January 2013.
