Manannan Emerges From Hibernation

Photographs  Peter Challis 2013

A sure sign of the approaching new season is the emergence by MANANNAN from her winter hibernation in Alexandra Dock. Here she is seen along side the Isle of Man Steam Packet stage at Liverpool on the afternoon of March 13, 2013. She departed the dock system at lunch time, proceeded to the stage where she remained for two hours before departing for Douglas at 16:00. During her winter layup it is understood that she has had her large vehicle capacity increased by rearranging the passenger deck support areas to improve access. Her first sailing of the 2013 season will be the 07:30 Douglas to Liverpool on March 22..
