Manannan Transfers to Cammell Laird for Refit

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2012 & Robert Foy

On the very cold, grey and slightly misty morning of February 11, 2012 MANANNAN departed her lay-up berth in Alexandra Dock, Liverpool and departed Langton Lock around 10:55 escorted by the tug SMIT WATERLOO for her trip across the River Mersey to Cammell Laird. After lying off the yard stemming the tide until just after 12:00 she entered #5 Dry Dock for her pre season refit. Robert Foy's photographs show MANANNAN in dry dock viewed from the St. Mary's Tower at Birkenhead Priory.
