Twenty Years of Isle of Man Steam Packet Fast Craft

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2014

A significant anniversary of appeared to go unrecorded on June 28, 2014 - The Twentieth Anniversary of fast craft operations by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. The first sailing using SEACAT ISLE OF MAN took place between Douglas and Fleetwood on June 28, 1994 and from Liverpool services began on June 29. Your web master took his first ever trip to the Isle of Man on Saturday July 02, 1994 to try out SEACAT ISLE OF MAN since then he has been backwards and forwards countless times! This page shows photographs taken at Liverpool and Douglas on July 05, 2014 and during the 1994/5 seasons during the operation of SEACAT ISLE OF MAN. With the exception of the 1996 Season, fast craft have been a feature of Isle of Man Steam Packet Company operations for 20 years. One wonders what the next 20 years will bring?
