An interesting visitor to Liverpool Docks for Christmas 2013 was the MS WIND PERFECTION [21,699 grt / 1982]. WIND PERFECTION and fleet mate WIND SOLUTION were both berthed at West Alexandra. In recent years WIND PERFECTION operated for the short-lived Fastnet Line between Cork (Ringaskiddy) and Swansea. Following the demise of Fastnet Line she was acquired by C-bed the Netherlands based operators of floating hotels designed to serve the offshore industry.
WIND PERFECTION has served a number of operators having been built originally for Olau Line as the OLAU BRITANNIA, then she served as BAYARD for Fred Olsen Lines passing on to Color Line as CHRISTIAN IV between 1991 and 2008. She was renamed JULIA when she passed to Stella Lines and retained that name when she became Fastnet Line's sole ship in 2010.
WIND PERFECTION has been providing accommodation for technicians working on the Irish Sea windfarms and usually spends its time at sea anchored near tp where windfarm installation work is being undertaken it was certainly a rare occasion to find the two ships berthed together.
