Royal Boskalis Westminster Group's trailing suction dredger SHOREWAY discharging sand off Wellington Dock for the infilling project and then returning to Liverpool Bay for another load on Saturday May 12, 2012.

Royal Boskalis Westminster Group trailing suction dredger SHOREWAY seen on the Mersey on Saturday April 28, 2012. She is engaged in the infilling of Wellington Dock. The dredger connecting with a floating pipeline from which its cargo of dredged sand is pumped to Wellington Dock. The dock is being in filled to provide space to extend the existing United Utilities sewage treatment works in the adjacent Sandon Dock. A similar technique infilling Wallasey Dock was used during the construction of the Twelve Quays Terminal. Assisting in the work is tug - workboat VOE VENTURE of Delta Marine.
