An early arrival for the Tall Ships Race Gathering at Liverpool was Bay Class, Landing Ship Dock RFA LYME BAY L3007 - seen here at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal on Wednesday July 16, 2008. With a displacement of 16,190 tonnes and a top speed of 18 knots she was built at Swan Hunter however due to cost over runs the ship was towed to BAe Systems Scotstoun Yard for completion. She entered service in 2007 November 2007.
