FGS Weilheim - A Visit

FGS WEILHEIM [M1059] is a Frankenthal Class mine hunter of the 3rd Minehunting Squadron of the German Navy. She takes her name from the town of Weilheim in southern Bavaria. She is based in Kiel and was commissioned in 1998.

FGS WEILHEIM was one of seven vessels visiting Liverpool Cruise Terminal bound for the Joint Warrior 131 Exercise off the Scottish coast in Scotland. She was photographed during a visit by the Merseyside Branch of the World Ship Society on Sunday April 07, 2013.
