HNLMS Holland at Devonport Dockyard

 Photographs  John H. Luxton 2013

Class leader of the Holland class of offshore patrol vessels HNMLS HOLLAND [P840] alongside at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth on March 31, 2013. She is seen along side HNLMS VAN SPEIJK [F828] the eighth and final ship in the Karel Doorman class of multi-purpose frigates. HNLMS VAN SPEIJK wears conventional warship grey, however, the Holland Class offshore vessels wear a lighter grey livery which is under evaluation as a "stealthier" colour which makes the vessel much less visible at a distance. Sister ship HNLMS GRONINGEN [P843] which visited Liverpool in early March 2013 also carries the lighter grey livery.
