LÉ Eithne Departs from Haulbowline

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2013

The flag ship of the Irish Naval Service Helicopter Patrol Vessel LÉ EITHNE departing from Haulbowline Naval Base,  in the late morning of August 27, 2013.

The small tug TURBOT BANK of Marine Transport Services, part of the Doyle Shipping Group, visible in two of the photographs had assisted LÉ Eithne off the oil berth. LE EITHNE was the last vessel to be built by the Cork Verolme Shipyard and commissioned in 1984.

Photographed from Fred Olsen Lines BOUDICCA.
