HMS RAMSEY visited the Isle of Man for an extended
visit between the end of May and the beginning of June. The 600 ton
Sandown Class Minehunter had recently returned from a seven month
deployment in the Arabian Gulf. The ship departed from Douglas on
Monday and paid a visit to her namesake port - Ramsey where at 15:30
she mades a brief circuit
of Ramsey Bay. Anchored in Ramsey Bay and also visibile in some of
the photographs is the Ramsey Steamship Company's BEN VARREY.
