HMS Ark Royal - Maiden Mersey Call

HMS ARK ROYAL [R07] built by Swan Hunter in 1985 paid her first visit to Merseyside on June 06, 2008. She had been due to make her maiden Mersey call in the autumn of 2007. However this was cancelled due to delays in completing the Liverpool Cruise Terminal Landing Stage.

Peter Langley captured her from the Wirral coast as she made her approach (above) whilst Carl Lawrenson captured her from the opposite side of the river off Formby (right).
