Rambiz - An Impressive Heavy Lift Vessel

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2011

The multi-purpose seagoing heavy lift vessel RAMBIZ operated by Scaldis  Salvage and Marine Contractors photographed from MANANNAN on her 15:00 sailing from Douglas to Liverpool on May 21, 2011. She was under tow of tug FAIRPLAY 31 and was heading in the direction of Amlwch presumably to shelter from the high winds. The twin sheerlegs granes have a lifting capacity of 3,300 tons. The vessel can be used for a variety of offshore tasks including salvage, platform and windfarm installation. See www.scaldis-smc.com/rambiz.html for more information. [Apologies from the less than perfect photos lighting was poor and windows salt sprayed!)
