Photographs  John H. Luxton 2013

The Dartmouth Harbour and Navigation Authority (DHNA) floating crane HERCULES seen at work on moorings upstream from Noss Creek on Wednesday October 23, 2013. Dartmouth Harbour has around 2,800 moorings used mainly by leisure craft.

This part of the River Dart was used by the BBC during episodes of the maritime drama series the Onedin Line to recreate scenes on the River Amazon in the 1970s.
