Wind Solution Inbound from Liverpool Bay

The accommodation off-shore support ship WIND SOLUTION [8,893grt / 1969] seen arriving on the Mersey on the evening of July 03, 2013. Operated by C-Bed BV of the Netherlands she provides accommodation for wind farm construction crews currently working out in Liverpool Bay. The ship has quite a history having entered service as PRINSESSAN CHRISTINA for Tor Line, then passing to Sally Line as SAFE CHRISTINA in 1981. In 1982 she was sailing as PRINSESSAN CHRISTINA for Stena Sessan Linjen. Between 1983 and 1985 she sailed as STENA NORDIC for Stena Line. In 1985/6 she sailed at EUROPA-FARJEN I for Lion Ferry. She was renamed LION PRINCE in 1986 and continued to sail for Lion Ferry until 1998 when she became STENA PRINCE for 1998/9. Operated as COMMODORE between 1999 and 2002 for Traghetti Isole Sarde, she then became the PALAU in 2003 operating for Enermar and Dimaiolines before becoming WIND SOLUTION.
