Photographs  Peter Challis 2013

On Wednesday March 06, 2013, two tugs and tows arrived on the Mersey. First to arrive was DUTCH POWER towing ROROPONTON5 carrying a load destined for the Petro-Chemical Industry. She was followed into the river by the tug KESTREL towing AMT DISCOVERER bound for Cammell Laird wet basin to collect a deck section for the aircraft carrier HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH which had been moved out of the Cammell Laird construction hall the previous weekend.
