Kingston Lacy at Vittoria Dock

Tug KINGSTON LACY  (108grt / 1960) seen at Vittoria Dock on October 26, 2013. She was built at the yard of P.K. Harris and Sons Ltd, Appledore, Devon as KINGSTON BUCI for The Shoreham Port Authority, Official Number 301484. She was sold to Poole Harbour Commissioners, Poole, and renamed KINGSTON LACY and registered at Poole. She was named after a Stately Home in Dorset. In 1998 she passed to Jenkins Marine of Pool before being acquired by World Ship Society member Peter Fitzpatrick and delivered to Birkenhead in June 2011. She is currently being refitted and has been repainted in the livery of the Rea Towing Company. She was photographed from the ROYAL IRIS on the Daniel Adamson Preservation Society "Birkenhead Docker Cruise".
