Flat Holm in Queen's Channel

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2012

No, the Bristol Channel Island Flat Holm hasn't suddenly been relocated to the Mersey approaches! This is the survey ship MV FLAT HOLM operated by Coastline Surveys of Falmouth Cornwall. (www.coaslinesurveys.co.uk) heading up Queen's Channel, inbound for Canada #1, Liverpool on the afternoon of May 26, 2012 and photographed from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's MANANNAN.

The MV FLAT HOLM is on Merseyside undertaking Vibrocore sampling in the approach channels and on the site for the planned river wall container berth to bet constructed off Gladstone Dock.
