The Wreck of the Carrier

The German owned general cargo ship CARRIER was wrecked on the shore near Raynes Jetty, Colwyn Bay, Wales during stormy weather on April 04, 2012. Strong winds blowing her off the jetty where she had been loading limestone and on to coastal armouring which badly damaged her hull. 

The ship, operated by E. Strahlmann Reederei was soon declared a total loss and plans put in place to break up the vessel put in place. Demolition is expected to take around six weeks.
