The New Medway Queen Takes Shape at Albion Shipyard

Photographs  John H. Luxton 2012

On June 06, 2009 the keel of the new PS MEDWAY QUEEN was unveiled at the Albion Shipyard in Bristol. Now three years on the new PS MEDWAY QUEEN is taking shape, she is now recognisable as a paddle steamer. Whilst the hull is new some of the components of the original vessel are being refurbished and reused such as the engine controls, crankshaft and paddle wheel bosses. These photographs were taken on Saturday June 16, 2012.
