As the THE TOPAZ the former EMPRESS OF BRITAIN comes to the end of her life Ian Collard has sent these photographs as a tribute this fine turbine steamer which was a familiar sign on Merseyside when she sailed for the Canadian Pacific Railway Company on their liner service to Canada. |

She completed her final "Peaceboat" voyage on April 28, 2008 and was noted on May 14, 2008 lying at Singapore awaiting sale and delivery to breakers.
