Ellesmere Port Boat Museum Easter Gathering

Photographs  Peter Challis 2014

National Coal Board Box Boat 337 part of the Canal and River Trust National Collection

Boats arriving at the Museum from the Shropshire Union Canal and awaiting their turn to pass thro' the locks into the main basin.

VICTORY is one of several historic canal boats visiting the Museum over the Easter gathering. Built 1911 as a steamer at Birmingham. It was later shortened in 1946 and used as a tug in the Birmingham area. It underwent several changes of name; now reverted to her original name and fitted with the archetypical Lister engine.
