IOM - UK Healthcare Petition

There will be many regular visitors to the Irish Sea Shipping web site who either reside in the UK and visit the Isle of Man or are Isle of Man residents who visit the UK.

Are you aware that in 2010 the reciprocal health care agreement between the UK & Isle of Man Governments will end?

This will mean that UK visitors to the Isle of Man, and Isle of Man visitors to the UK will  be liable to health treatment charges should they have an accident or fall ill.

This change effects both UK & Isle of Man residents.

The change has resulted from a UK Government decision to withdraw from the reciprocal health care agreement.

This is clearly against the best interests of all the parties involved, and it is desired that the reciprocal agreement is continued, for the mutual benefit of all those on business, holiday, education or any other reason.

Alex McCormack, a member of the Irish Sea Ships Yahoo Group has set up a petition against this change and it deserves support for all those living in both the UK & Isle of Man

Please click on the link below to sign it.
